Ongoing or occasional WordPress website content updates, software and plugin updates, and site management services for:
- Websites that I designed and built.
- Existing websites created by you or your web designer.
Consider letting go of some or all of your website maintenance tasks so you can spend more time running your business and doing other things that you enjoy more.
If you are maintaining a website yourself or had someone else doing it for you who is no longer available, I am available to assist with issues that you can’t resolve yourself. (See maintenance examples from my portfolio.)
“Thank you for supporting my business for all of these years. I truly appreciate your continued attention to detail on my website. It frees me up to do the things I’m much better at. My business wouldn’t run as well as it does without your help.”
Fresh content keeps your website “alive.” If you don’t have the time or desire to make updates to your website or publish new blog posts yourself, then send me the new content and I’ll make the changes for you.
My turn-around time for content updates is one to three business days, depending on my availability and the amount of updates requested. If I anticipate that I cannot get your update finished within three days, I will let you know when I receive your request.
If you have an update that must be finished by a certain date, please plan ahead and let me know in advance so I can do my best to meet your deadline!
I work only as needed. There are no monthly contracts or minimum fees. I charge $50.00 per hour. My time is logged in 15-minute increments. At the end of a month during which I have worked for you, I total up the time worked and send out an invoice. Payment is due within 10 days upon receipt of invoice.
10% Prepayment Credit
Enjoy the convenience of making one payment that covers several months of updates rather than making small monthly payments while saving a little money, too! Make a payment of $100.00 or more toward future work and an extra credit in the amount of 10% of your prepayment amount will be applied to your account.
WordPress Plugin, Theme and Software Maintenance
Keep your website functioning smoothly and as secure from malicious attacks as possible with timely software updates.
WordPress is software that has been installed on your web server. Plugin updates, theme updates, bug fixes, security patches, and core WordPress software upgrades are released continually, often several times a month.
If you don’t want to keep up with the technology and methods for backing up your website and updating your WordPress software safely, I offer the following maintenance services:
- Website backups.
- Research update and changelog notes before installing updates to look for possible conflicts or changes that could break something on your website. If there is a potential problem, I will wait to install an update until the software developers have resolved the issue.
- Install plugin updates.
- Install theme updates.
- Install core WordPress software upgrades.
- Set up a security firewall and malware scanning plugin.
- Monitor website health.
Maintenance plans start at $25.00 per month. There is no contract, so you can cancel my software maintenance service at any time and do the updates yourself.
The amount of the monthly fee is determined by how often you want me to check for and install updates, as well as the complexity of your website. Checking for available software updates can be done on a monthly or weekly basis. I recommend weekly checks because updates often include bug fixes and security patches.
10% Prepayment Credit
Enjoy the convenience of making one payment that covers several months of software updates rather than making small monthly payments and save a little money, too! Make a payment of $100.00 or more toward future updates and an extra credit in the amount of 10% of your prepayment amount will be applied to your account.
NOTE 1: WordPress releases major core software upgrades once or twice a year. Installing a WordPress core upgrade is not included in the monthly plugin update plan because it is more complex and takes more time than plugin updates. A small additional fee will be charged when a WordPress upgrade is needed.
Note 2: Occasionally an update breaks a function on a website because technologies and programming code are constantly changing. These software conflicts may require changes to settings or code in your website that would take additional time and incur an additional cost not covered by the set monthly update fee. For these fixes, I log time in 15-minute increments and bill you for the total time at my $50.00 per hour rate.
