Carolyn Couch is a Professional Career Coach who helps individuals begin, transition, and advance their careers.
Carolyn brought her existing website to me in 2019 to make some changes to her site and then provide ongoing website and software maintenance services.
Issue: Investigate reports of fatal errors affecting website performance.
Solution: Replace outdated plugins with newer versions. Replace premium plugins that had expired licenses with free plugins that can perform the same functions.
Issue: Update content to reflect changes in her business.
Solution:
- Delete links to social media accounts that are no longer active.
- Remove outdated blog from website.
- Update location and contact information.
- Fix bad links.
Issue: Improve readability.
Solution: Increase font sizes for headings and content. Change the text color for body content from gray to off-black.
Issue: Find a more affordable web hosting company.
Solution: Recommended web hosting companies with better features, including providing a free Let’s Encrypt SSL Certificate. Migrate website to the chosen host.
